San José is Costa Rica’s capital and largest city. Founded in the mid-west of the Central Valley in 1823, it is the youngest capital city in Latin America. It is the country’s seat of government, center of economic activity and major transportation hub surrounded by lush green mountains and valleys.
Rincon de la Vieja National Park is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Guanacaste Conservation Area. Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most bio-diverse areas in the world. The park is Costa Rica’s smallest national park, but it is unrivaled in beauty.
Tamarindo and Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast is ideal for families who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, for friends who want to explore and hike amazing beaches, see breathtaking landscapes, and of course for surfers to catch great waves.
It is always fun to get out for a long drive and discover new places along the way. Rio Celeste and Tesoro Escondido Waterfall fit the bill perfectly with its distance to La Fortuna and some of the most amazing landscapes in the region.
La Fortuna greets us with amazing views of the volcano every day. Aside from agriculture, the town capitalizes on tourism as a major income source, and so you can find hostels, cabins, car rentals, laundry services, trails, tours and activities guide at every corner.
Hoping to get some rest, regroup and do months-worth of planning in a few days. Using every ounce of energy left in our weary bodies, we dragged ourselves on the plane that took us to beautiful Costa Rica.
Considering that the average cost of a 12-night international trip is $3251, this might be pushing it. But we are confident in our research, we chose Oaxaca Mexico knowing that the cost of this trip would be much less than the average. Today we will explain how we planned and spent the budget for Oaxaca Mexico trial retirement.
This idea of doing trial retirements was foreign to me before we were able to pull it off. This is because I cannot imagine myself not working for a significant amount of time and in turn not having a paycheck. Our Oaxaca Mexico trip showed us that a life of travel is a possibility.
